Makassar, fk.umi.ac.id — The Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) has once again achieved success by winning two prestigious awards—Best Booth and Best Service and Education—at the 17th Sulawesi Education and Techno Expo, held at the Claro Hotel in Makassar.
These awards were given based on an assessment of the quality of educational information presented, innovation in academic services, and the professionalism of service provided to expo visitors. The UMI booth was recognized for presenting information that was comprehensive, communicative, and easy to understand, while also reflecting the university’s image as an excellent, modern, and quality-oriented institution.
During this event, the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Muslim Indonesia (FK UMI) played an active role by bringing a faculty promotion team along with FK UMI Student Ambassadors. The presence of the student ambassadors served as a unique draw for students, while also providing a firsthand glimpse into the academic atmosphere, student achievements, and campus life at the Faculty of Medicine, UMI.
The presence of University of Muslim Indonesia leadership—including the First Vice Rector, Second Vice Rector, and Fifth Vice Rector—served as a tangible demonstration of support for strengthening the institution’s image and UMI’s commitment to providing high-quality higher education.
The Rector of Universitas Muslim Indonesia, Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Thalib, S.H., M.H., stated that this award is the result of the collective efforts of the entire UMI academic community.
“We view this award as a mandate to continue improving the quality of educational services and to strengthen public trust in UMI as an excellent, inclusive, and principled university,” he said.
Visitors’ high level of enthusiasm was also evident during the 2026 Education and Innovation Expo, organized by the Regional Office IX of the Directorate General of Higher Education (LLDikti) in collaboration with the South Sulawesi Provincial Education Office. The UMI booth, including the UMI Faculty of Medicine, was one of the most visited by high school students and their equivalents from various regions in South Sulawesi, with an average of more than 1,300 visitors per day.
Through this active participation, the UMI Faculty of Medicine reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the promotion of quality higher education and providing accurate and inspiring information to prospective students, particularly in the field of medical education.
