As part of the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s 3-decade anniversary celebrations, various activities have been held.

Last Ramadan, the UMI Faculty of Medicine, together with its alumni, distributed iftar and suhoor meals to patients and their families being treated in the emergency room.

“So we’re collaborating with hospitals throughout Indonesia—in Ambon, Papua, Kalimantan, and all across the country,” explained Dr. Edward Pandu Wiriansya, Sp.PD, Third Vice Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine.

Not only that, but food packages were also distributed to 30 orphanages.

In the near future, an International Scientific Meeting will be held via Zoom.

This conference will feature a number of health experts from UMI, Unhas, Unair, UGM, and even universities in Saudi Arabia. “After that, on Sunday, June 5, 2022, we will hold a community service event in Maros Regency,” said Anniversary Committee Chair Dr. Berry Erida Hasbi, SpB. “On Monday, we will hold a joint prayer at the Faculty of Medicine.”

Finally, the grand finale of the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s 300th-anniversary celebration will be held on June 12 at the Four Points by Sheraton.

Currently, the UMI Faculty of Medicine has 2,043 medical alumni spread across Indonesia.

The organizing committee hopes that this anniversary celebration will serve as an opportunity for all UMI alumni to reconnect.
