Makassar – The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) held a Student Welcome Night (Inauguration) for the Class of 2026 on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the Myko Hotel Ballroom in Makassar. This event served as an opportunity for new students to strengthen bonds of brotherhood, foster a sense of community, and cultivate a sense of belonging to the FK UMI family.

This gathering is an important part of the new students’ journey to become familiar with the student life at the UMI Faculty of Medicine. As they enter the world of medical education, students are expected not only to develop their academic abilities but also to build character, discipline, responsibility, and the ability to work together.

Through the Class of 2026 Inauguration event, students are expected to build harmonious relationships with their peers and strengthen solidarity as they navigate their educational journey. The sense of community forged from the very beginning of their studies serves as a vital foundation for tackling various academic challenges and participating in student activities throughout their medical education.

In addition to serving as a gathering, this event also provides a space for students to foster values of brotherhood, mutual respect, and a spirit of collaboration. These values are essential in shaping future doctors who not only possess scientific competence but are also capable of communicating effectively, working in teams, and demonstrating care for others.

Medical education is a long process that requires commitment, consistency, and a positive supportive environment. Therefore, fostering good relationships among students is expected to help create a supportive learning atmosphere and encourage students to support one another in achieving both academic goals and personal development.

Through the Student Get-Together Night (Inauguration) for the Class of 2026, the UMI Faculty of Medicine hopes that new students will get to know one another better and strengthen their identity as part of the UMI Faculty of Medicine family. It is hoped that this spirit of togetherness will be maintained throughout their educational journey so that they may eventually contribute as professional doctors with integrity who are dedicated to serving the community.
