Makassar – The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) continues to expand its international network and collaborations through its participation in the Opening Ceremony of the 7th USIM International Health Conference, organized by Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) with the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) serving as co-host.

The event, which took place on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, carried the theme “Transforming Health Through Innovation,” reflecting the importance of innovation in addressing various health challenges and driving the transformation of health services and education in the future.

As part of the event, a meeting was held with officials from the Malaysian Ministry of Health, the Rector of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), and the Dean of the USIM Faculty of Medicine. This meeting served as an opportunity to strengthen institutional ties while fostering communication and synergy between medical education institutions and health stakeholders from Indonesia and Malaysia.

UMI’s involvement as a co-host in this international conference plays a crucial role in strengthening UMI’s position on the global stage. For the UMI Faculty of Medicine, this event also presents an opportunity to expand its academic network and foster collaboration across various fields related to medical and health education.

Through international forums such as this, various institutions can share experiences, knowledge, and ideas regarding advancements in science and health innovations.
