Makassar – The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) hosted a visit from the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Azhar Islamic University for benchmarking and a courtesy visit with FK UMI leadership on Monday, October 5, 2026.
The event, which took place in the Dr. Chaerudin Lakare Senate Room on the first floor of FK UMI, served as an opportunity to strengthen institutional ties while fostering the exchange of information and experiences between the two medical education institutions.
This benchmarking visit provided an opportunity for both faculties to share insights regarding the delivery of medical education, institutional governance, and various practices that can support institutional quality improvement.
Through this event, the UMI Faculty of Medicine warmly welcomed the Faculty of Medicine at Al-Azhar Islamic University as part of efforts to build networks and foster collaboration among medical education institutions. It is hoped that the bonds formed during this visit will develop into broader and more sustainable cooperation in the future.
For the UMI Faculty of Medicine, this benchmarking activity is also part of its commitment to continuously develop and improve the quality of medical education.
