Makassar – The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) strengthened its international cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia (AMDA) International on Saturday, September 19, 2026.
This collaboration represents a strategic step in supporting the implementation of national and international Community Service (PkM) initiatives, particularly in the fields of health and humanitarian affairs.
During the event, the Dean of FK UMI, Dr. dr. H. Andi Nasrudin Mappaware, Sp.OG, Subsp. Obginsos, MARS, M.Sc, FISQua, AIFO-K, FISOG, was present and played a role in strengthening the collaboration between the UMI Faculty of Medicine and AMDA International.
Through this partnership, the UMI Faculty of Medicine and AMDA International are expected to develop various community service activities that provide direct benefits to the community, both nationally and internationally. The collaboration also serves as a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences, as well as expanding networks in the fields of health care and humanitarian work.
The partnership between the UMI Faculty of Medicine and AMDA International also reflects the faculty’s commitment to expanding its contributions to the health sector through sustainable community service activities. Previously, collaboration with AMDA had already been realized through various humanitarian and healthcare initiatives in disaster-affected areas.
For the UMI Faculty of Medicine, strengthening this international partnership is part of its effort to provide medical education that is not only focused on developing academic and clinical competencies but also demonstrates a commitment to the community and is capable of contributing to broader health issues.
Through this MoU, the UMI Faculty of Medicine and AMDA International are committed to continuing their collaboration in delivering impactful and sustainable community service programs, in line with the spirit of Dedicatio Pro Humanitate.
