Makassar – The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of its graduates by organizing the Competency Exam Preparation Program for Medical Students in the Professional Doctor Program (UKMPPD), Batch 1, Year 2026. This activity is an intensive preparatory program designed to help prospective doctors prepare for the UKMPPD, which is one of the requirements for obtaining a competency certificate and practicing medicine in Indonesia.
Both exams are part of the national competency standards that every prospective doctor must meet before obtaining a Certificate of Registration (STR).
During the program, participants received comprehensive training through discussions of materials based on the latest UKMPPD blueprint. The material covered ranged from reinforcing the basic concepts of medical science and discussing clinical cases that frequently appear on the exams to practice questions designed to simulate actual exam conditions.
In addition to academic reinforcement, participants also received clinical skills training through Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) simulations. In these sessions, participants were trained to improve their communication skills with patients, physical examination skills, diagnostic reasoning, and case management in accordance with medical service standards. This approach is expected to boost participants’ confidence when taking the competency exam.
The UKMPPD Batch 1, Year 2026 preparatory program also features experienced faculty members and tutors who provide various tips, effective study strategies, and share their experiences in preparing for the competency exam. Interactive discussions held throughout the program provided participants with the opportunity to clarify material they did not fully understand while deepening their clinical reasoning skills in solving various medical cases.
In addition to focusing on academic aspects, this program also provided motivation and mental coaching to participants. This is considered crucial, as the UKMPPD is a stage that requires intellectual, emotional, and mental preparedness so that participants can approach the exam with confidence and achieve optimal results.
Through the implementation of the UKMPPD Preparation Program, Batch 1, Year 2026, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Muslim Indonesia hopes that all participants can prepare themselves to the fullest and improve the UKMPPD pass rate. This program is also part of the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s commitment to producing doctors who are not only academically excellent and clinically competent but also possess professionalism, integrity, and good moral character in accordance with the values upheld by the University of Muslim Indonesia.
Through structured and ongoing preparation, the UMI Faculty of Medicine is confident that prospective doctors will be better prepared and more confident when facing the UKMPPD, thereby producing high-quality medical graduates who are ready to provide the best healthcare services to the community.
