Banten – The academic community of the Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) has once again achieved a proud accomplishment. The Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. H. Nasrudin AM, Sp.OG(K)., Subsp.Obginsos., MARS., M.Sc., FISQua., AIFO-K, who also serves on the Central Board of the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (POGI), received the FISOG (Fellow of the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology) Award on Monday, July 20, 2026.

The title of Fellow of the Indonesian Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FISOG) is not only a symbol of recognition for academic and professional competence but also reflects a track record of sustained dedication to advancing the fields of obstetrics and gynecology. Recipients of this title are medical specialists who have demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the quality of maternal and child health care, advancing medical education, conducting scientific research, and actively contributing to professional organizations.

As Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. H. Nasrudin AM is known for actively promoting improvements in the quality of medical education through the strengthening of competency-based curricula, human resource development, enhanced research quality, and the expansion of national and international collaboration networks. Furthermore, his role as a member of the POGI Central Executive Board demonstrates his active participation in supporting the advancement of the professional organization while contributing to the improvement of obstetrics and gynecology services in Indonesia.

This achievement is a source of pride for the entire Faculty of Medicine at the University of Muslim Indonesia. The FISOG award received by the Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine is proof that the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s academic community continues to demonstrate its presence and contributions at the national level, while also strengthening the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s position as a medical education institution that produces outstanding and competitive human resources.
