Makassar – In an effort to expand its international network and support the development of technology-based education and healthcare services, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI), Dr. dr. H. Nasrudin AM, Sp.OG(K)., Subsp.Obginos., MARS., M.Sc., FISQua., AIFO-K, along with the Third Vice Dean of FK UMI, attended a series of events at the Korea International Advanced Digital Medical Equipment & Medicine Expo (KOADMEX) 2026, which was held in conjunction with the Global Conference on the Medical Training Program for Overseas Healthcare Professionals and International Community Service (Health Education and Preventive Health Screening) on Friday, July 3, 2026.
In addition to serving as an exhibition of state-of-the-art medical devices and technology, the event also featured a scientific conference, training programs for international healthcare professionals, and community service through health education and preventive health screening services.
The participation of UMI’s Faculty of Medicine leadership in this international forum is part of the Faculty’s commitment to continuously strengthen global cooperation in the fields of education, research, and healthcare services. Through this participation, the UMI Faculty of Medicine had the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations in medical technology development, modern healthcare systems, and the implementation of digital transformation currently underway in various countries.
In addition to attending conference sessions and training workshops, the Dean and Vice Dean III of the UMI Faculty of Medicine also engaged in discussions and established contacts with a number of international educational institutions and health organizations. It is hoped that these meetings will open up opportunities for collaboration in the form of academic exchanges, joint research, human resource capacity building, and the implementation of community service programs in the field of health.
The Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine stated that the Faculty’s participation in this international event represents a strategic step toward enhancing the quality of medical education to keep pace with advancements in science and technology.
“International forums such as KOADMEX provide a valuable opportunity to broaden our horizons, build global networks, and introduce various innovations that can be implemented in the development of medical education and healthcare services at the UMI Faculty of Medicine,” he said.
Through its participation in KOADMEX 2026 and the Global Conference on Medical Training Programs, the UMI Faculty of Medicine continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the internationalization of the institution, enhancing the competencies of its academic community, and introducing innovations capable of making tangible contributions to improving the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia and globally.
