MAKASSAR – The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the development of student organizations through the inauguration of the executive board of the Semi-Autonomous Body (BSO) of the UMI Faculty of Medicine Student Association (KBMFK UMI) for the 2026–2027 term, held on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the 12th-floor auditorium of the Ibnu Sina Teaching Hospital (RSP) of the UMI Waqf Foundation.
The inauguration proceeded solemnly and was attended by the leadership of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, namely the Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Nasrudin Andi Mappaware, Sp.OG(K)., Subsp.Obginsos., MARS., M.Sc., FISQua., AIFO-K., and the Third Vice Dean, Dr. Muh. Wirawan Harahap, MARS., Sp.An.TI., FISQua., AIFO-K.
In his remarks, the Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine expressed his appreciation to all executive board members who have been entrusted to lead the organization for the 2026–2027 term. He emphasized that student organizations serve as a strategic platform for shaping leadership character, enhancing critical thinking skills, and developing students’ competencies beyond the classroom learning process.
He also expressed his hope that the newly inaugurated executive board members would carry out their duties with full responsibility, uphold the value of integrity, and implement various programs that benefit students, the faculty, and the community.
Meanwhile, the Third Associate Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine urged all BSO executive board members to continue strengthening inter-institutional collaboration and to build an organizational culture that is professional, adaptive, and service-oriented. According to him, effective synergy will be key to creating an active, innovative, and sustainable student organization.
This inauguration is not merely a ceremony marking a change in leadership but also a symbol of the birth of a new spirit in developing an organization capable of addressing the challenges of our time. Through the chosen theme, the executive board members are expected to strengthen collaboration, foster an intellectual culture, and create innovations that support the development of the potential of UMI Faculty of Medicine students.
With the inauguration of the executive board of the UMI KBMFK Semi-Autonomous Body for the 2026–2027 term, it is hoped that the entire organization can continue to contribute to supporting the vision of the UMI Faculty of Medicine as a leading medical education institution with Islamic values that makes a positive impact on society.
The spirit of togetherness, professionalism, and dedication embodied in this inauguration is expected to serve as a strong foundation for all executive members in carrying out high-quality work programs and making tangible contributions to the advancement of the organization and the UMI Faculty of Medicine.
