Makassar, fk.umi.ac.id — The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) once again conducted the National Competency Exam Simulation for the Medical Professional Education Program (UKNPDPD) Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) Batch 2 for 2026, which took place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the OSCE Center on the 2nd floor of Ibnu Sina YW-UMI Hospital.
This activity is part of FK UMI’s efforts to optimally prepare medical students for the National Competency Exam, particularly in the areas of clinical skills, medical communication, clinical reasoning, and professionalism in patient care.
The OSCE simulation was conducted using a station-based system and clinical scenarios designed to closely resemble the actual national exam. Participants were assessed on various basic and clinical medical skills, ranging from medical history taking, physical examination, patient education, and medical procedures to clinical reasoning skills in resolving cases.
Through this simulation, students are expected to improve their mental preparedness, precision in clinical procedures, and communication skills in preparation for the UKNPDPD, which is a crucial step toward becoming a physician.
The UMI Faculty of Medicine consistently strives to strengthen the quality of medical education through the development of clinical education facilities, competency-based evaluations, and intensive mentoring for medical students.
Conducting the simulation at the OSCE Center at Ibnu Sina YW-UMI Hospital is also part of the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s commitment to providing a modern, integrated clinical learning environment that meets national medical education standards.
Through this activity, the UMI Faculty of Medicine hopes that all participants will be better prepared to take the UKNPDPD and become competent, professional, compassionate physicians who prioritize patient safety.
