Makassar, fk.umi.ac.id — The leadership of the Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK-UMI) in Makassar—specifically the Vice Dean IV and the Head of the Production House Unit (UPH)—together with students, conducted an outreach and roadshow event at SMAN 22 Makassar, Wednesday, February 25, 2026. This event was part of the 7th Ramadan Energy Movement (GEN-R) series, which is routinely held by FK-UMI.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FK-UMI, Dr. dr. Nasrudin AM, Sp.OG(K)., Subsp.Obginos., MARS., M.Sc., FISQua., AIFO-K, who in his remarks emphasized the importance of nurturing a younger generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also spiritually strong. The Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine emphasized that the UMI Faculty of Medicine is committed to producing outstanding Muslim doctors of strong character, who make Islamic values the foundation of their professional practice.

The series of activities then continued with a religious talk by the Vice Dean IV, who highlighted how the UMI Faculty of Medicine shapes the profile of Muslim doctors and encouraged students to find happiness by constantly drawing closer to Allah SWT. Next, the Chair of UPH introduced the UMI Faculty of Medicine, covering its achievements, educational facilities, and accreditation status—all of which are the institution’s strengths.

Dr. dr. Rachmat Faisal Syamsu, M.Kes., CIP., FISPH., FISCM., as the Fourth Vice Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, stated that amid the large number of medical schools today, it is crucial to highlight the unique characteristics of the UMI Faculty of Medicine to students—particularly those in their senior year of high school—as they make their university choices.

“The UMI Faculty of Medicine has a strong character in the integration of science and Islam. This is both a distinguishing feature and a strength that we offer to prospective students,” he said.

During the visit, the UMI Faculty of Medicine delegation was received by the school principal and several teachers.

The meeting concluded with a presentation on the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s 2026 New Student Admissions through the Academic Excellence and Hafiz-Hafizah tracks, which remain open until April 2026. It is hoped that this event will provide motivation and a clear picture for students as they make their higher education choices, particularly regarding the UMI Faculty of Medicine.
