Makassar, November 11, 2025 – The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) once again held an inspiring academic event titled “Studium Generale: Learning Beyond the Classroom,” featuring an expert in medical education, Prof. Dr. Mora Claramita, MHPE., Ph.D., Sp.KKLP, Subsp.COPC, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Organized in collaboration between FK UMI and the Association of Indonesian Private Medical Schools (AFKSI), the event took place in the Teleconference Auditorium on the 5th floor of FK UMI and was attended in a hybrid format via Zoom Meeting.

This Studium Generale was attended by students from the UMI Faculty of Medicine as well as participants from AFKSI member institutions who joined online from various regions across Indonesia. In her presentation, Prof. Mora emphasized the importance of learning that extends beyond the classroom, fostering reflective, collaborative, and empathetic skills in future doctors. Through this event, the UMI Faculty of Medicine continues to demonstrate its commitment to developing innovative medical education focused on active learning, relevant to community needs, and aligned with UMI’s vision as a Smart Islamic University.
