Makassar, October 26, 2025 — In an effort to strengthen collaboration between the university, faculty members, and students’ families, the Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) held a gathering featuring the Faculty Leadership, the Association of Parents of Students and Faculty (POMD), Academic Advisors, along with parents and new FK UMI students of the Class of 2025, held at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Makassar on Sunday, October 26, 2025. This event served as a strategic forum to foster harmonious communication between the faculty and parents, while also introducing the academic system, Islamic values, and the vision of cultivating “Dokter Mukhsin”—doctors who excel intellectually, possess strong moral character, and are dedicated to service.

This gathering was attended by faculty leadership, academic advisors, and all parents of the Class of 2025 freshmen. In a warm, family-like atmosphere, the leadership of the UMI Faculty of Medicine emphasized the importance of synergy between the university and families in supporting the educational success of medical students. Through this forum, the UMI Faculty of Medicine hopes to nurture a generation of young doctors who not only excel academically but also possess Islamic character, social empathy, and a strong commitment to humanity—in line with the overarching mission of the University of Muslim Indonesia as an educational institution grounded in the values of faith, knowledge, and good deeds.
