Makassar, October 18, 2025 — The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) is once again hosting the prestigious STERNUM (Sport Triumph Event Revitalization UMI Medical) 2025. This sports and academic competition is attended by students from various health faculties throughout Makassar as well as high school students in the Makassar area.
STERNUM 2025, which takes place from October 11–18, 2025, carries the theme “From Passion to Precision: Empowering Youth Through Sports and Science.” This theme reflects the spirit of the younger generation in channeling their talents and interests—both in sports and science—in a focused and professional manner.
The sports competitions included basketball, badminton, futsal, and Mobile Legends. In addition, there will be a scientific competition in the form of a scientific poster contest. This event is spearheaded by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, with active support from various educational institutions.
STERNUM 2025 is expected to serve as a platform for the younger generation to cultivate outstanding character, solidarity, and a healthy competitive spirit. Thus, it is hoped that synergy between the academic and athletic worlds will be fostered, and a space for positive collaboration among college and high school students will be created.
