UMI Medical School Student Wins Third Runner-Up in the 30-Juz Memorization Competition at the 18th MTQMN 2025

Banjarmasin — Zulfi Zain, a student at the Faculty of Medicine (FK) of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI), has once again achieved outstanding success on the national stage. At the 18th National Student Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQMN) 2025, held at Lambung Mangkurat University (Unlam) in Banjarmasin, Zulfi Zain won Third Runner-Up in the 30-Juz Memorization competition.

This achievement serves as clear evidence that UMI Faculty of Medicine students not only excel in the field of medicine but also possess extraordinary abilities in religious studies. Zulfi Zain has demonstrated great dedication and hard work in memorizing the Qur’an, and his success serves as an inspiration to other students.

UMI Rector Prof. Hambali Thalib expressed his congratulations and pride in Zulfi Zain’s achievement. “Alhamdulillah, we are very proud of Zulfi Zain’s accomplishment, which has brought honor to UMI on the national stage,” he said.
