Banda Aceh, September 7, 2025 – The Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) has once again achieved a milestone with the inauguration of its delegation as members of the Central Executive Board of the Forum of Islamic Medical Organizations (FOKI) for the 2025–2028 term. The inauguration took place as part of a series of events at the Federation of Islamic Medical Associations (FIMA) Conference and the Consortium of Islamic Medical Colleges (CIMCO) Scientific Meeting at the Faculty of Medicine, Syah Kuala University, in Banda Aceh.
Within the FOKI leadership structure for this term, FK UMI has contributed by appointing several figures who are experts in their respective fields. Prof. dr. H. Syarifuddin Wahid, Ph.D, Sp.PA (K), Sp.F and Dr. dr. Nasrudin AM, Sp.OG(K)., Subsp.Obginos., MARS., M.Sc., FISQua., AIFO-K, have been appointed to the Board of Advisors. Meanwhile, Dr. dr. Ida Royani, M.Kes., MHPE, serves as the Coordinator of Thibbun Nabawi, and Dr. dr. Rachmat Faisal Syamsu, M.Kes, FISPH, FISCM, serves as a Member of the Islamic Studies Committee.
With a solid and principled leadership structure, the UMI Faculty of Medicine is ready to contribute to the development of Islamic medical education in Indonesia. Through FOKI, the UMI Faculty of Medicine is committed to improving the quality of healthcare services grounded in Islamic values and strengthening collaboration among Islamic medical education institutions. It is hoped that through this active role, the UMI Faculty of Medicine can become a pioneer in shaping a generation of doctors who are not only medically professional but also possess a strong spiritual foundation.
