Makassar, September 4, 2025 – The Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) is holding a three-day Pesantren Week, from September 4 to 6, 2025, as a replacement for the New Student Orientation (Ospek) for incoming freshmen. The event took place at the UMI Darul Mukhlisin Elite Islamic Boarding School in Padang Lampe, Pangkep.

The Pesantren Week features speakers from UMI’s Rectorate and Deans’ Offices, including the Rector, Vice Rectors, Deans, and Associate Deans. Through this event, UMI hopes to introduce itself and its faculties to the new students while instilling Islamic values in the educational process.

With a more religious and in-depth approach, this Islamic Boarding School Week is expected to shape the character and integrity of new students from the very beginning of their studies at UMI. This event serves as an important first step in shaping a young generation that is not only academically intelligent but also possesses a strong spiritual foundation. To establish the Indonesian Muslim University as a world-class, renowned institution of education and da’wah, producing individuals who are knowledgeable and devout, who practice what they learn, who possess noble character, and who are highly competitive.
