Makassar, Monday, August 25, 2025 – The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) was invited to speak at a National Seminar hosted by the Indonesian Ministry of Health on the theme “Preventing Stunting from Source to Outcome: Strategic Collaboration for a Stunting-Free Generation.”
At the forum, the Dean of FK UMI presented on the topic “The Importance of Nutrition for Pregnant Women in Preventing Stunting.” This presentation emphasized that improving the nutrition of pregnant women is a crucial step in preventing stunting from an early stage, as well as part of a long-term strategy to foster a healthy, intelligent, and high-quality generation.
Organized by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) at Warmadewa University in Denpasar, Bali, the event featured various health experts and practitioners from across Indonesia. The Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s participation as a speaker reflects the university’s active role in supporting the national stunting prevention program through scientific contributions and cross-sectoral collaboration.
