Makassar, August 27, 2025 – The Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) has established official rules and regulations for new students (MABA) who will participate in Pesantren Week at the Darul Mukhlisin Islamic Boarding School in Padang Lampe. Read the full details here: https://pdf.ac/wXtkFo69QW
Under these rules, new students are required to arrive on time, dress neatly, and bring prayer items and clothing in accordance with Islamic standards. All participants are also required to stay overnight at the boarding school and attend all scheduled activities.
A number of prohibitions are in effect, ranging from bringing alcoholic beverages, drugs, and cigarettes to wearing clothing that does not meet Islamic standards. Strict penalties await violators, ranging from suspension to expulsion from UMI.
These rules are intended to serve as guidelines to ensure that Pesantren Week proceeds in an orderly and disciplined manner, while instilling Islamic values from the very beginning of students’ academic journey at UMI.
