To Conclude the 22nd AFKSI National Congress, the UMI Faculty of Medicine Presents a Health Exercise Session and Bugis-Makassar Cuisine

Makassar, June 15, 2025 – On the occasion of its 33rd anniversary, the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) was entrusted to host the 22nd National Conference (Munas) of the Association of Indonesian Private Medical Faculties (AFKSI) in 2025.

As the host, the UMI Faculty of Medicine received widespread praise for successfully enriching the National Congress with an International Conference, the Annual Meeting of the Islamic Medicine Forum (FOKI), and a gathering of foundations, rectors, and private medical faculties from across Indonesia.

Following the National Congress, participants took part in the “88 Physical Health Exercise” led directly by the Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Nasruddin AM., Sp.OG.Subsp.Obginsos., MARS., M.Sc., FISQua., AIFO-K., at Firdaus Park on UMI Campus 2 on Sunday (June 15, 2025).

The Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Nasruddin AM., Sp.OG.Subsp.Obginsos.,MARS.,M.Sc.,FISQua.,AIFO-K. when met at the event location, stated that this morning all AFKSI 22nd National Congress executive board members and delegates participated in a physical fitness exercise.

“Alhamdulillah, this morning, the executive board members and all delegates of the 22nd AFKSI National Congress at The Rinra Hotel in Makassar, after attending the International Conference, organizational sessions, and the election of the chairperson, continued with a refreshing and relaxing session of SKJ exercises in remembrance of the year ’88, followed by a culinary tour, with all the traditional Bugis-Makassar dishes prepared in the courtyard of the UMI Faculty of Medicine,” he said.

The AFKSI Central Board Chairperson for the 2025–2028 term, who was elected by acclamation at the 22nd National Congress yesterday, will also invite all executive board members and AFKSI National Congress delegates to visit the UMI Faculty of Medicine.

“Our vision, now that I have been entrusted with the role of Chairman of the PB AFKSI for the 2025–2028 term, is for AFKSI to truly work in synergy to build the nation’s civilization by advancing medical education to a higher standard, thereby producing doctors who improve the health of the community,” said this alumnus of the UMI Faculty of Medicine.
