Friday, June 6, 2025. The leadership of the UMI Makassar Faculty of Medicine, together with the entire academic community and the UMI Faculty of Medicine Alumni Association, held a joint Eid al-Adha sacrifice. The sacrifice took place in the parking lot of the UMI Faculty of Medicine. This year marked the third consecutive year that the joint sacrifice has been held. Alhamdulillah, six cows and six goats were collected that year. The sacrifice was carried out immediately after the Eid al-Adha prayer for the year 1446 H and distributed to those eligible to receive it. Recipients included members of the academic community, faculty members, cleaning staff, security personnel, students unable to return home for the holiday, children in orphanages, and people in need encountered on the streets.

           The event began with a communal breakfast after a brief fast just before the Eid al-Adha prayer, after which the committee members proceeded to their respective posts. The Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. Nasrudin A.M., SpOG(K), MARS, M.Sc., FISQua, AIFO-K, stated that this activity is very important as a form of solidarity with others to strengthen bonds among the academic community and the surrounding community. A similar sentiment was expressed by the Chair of the UMI Faculty of Medicine Alumni Association (IKA), Dr. Antarikasa Putra Winarno, Sp.PK, who was also present at the Eid al-Adha sacrifice event alongside Committee Chair Dr. Reza Zainal, Sp.THT.
