The benchmarking event, which took place on November 22, 2024, was attended by a 13-member delegation consisting of the UMI Sport Science Center (SCC) team and executive board, namely: The Chair of the UMI SCC, who is also the Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. The UMI delegation was received at ISN by Dr. Yeo Wee Kian, Director of the Division of Research and Innovation, and Dr. Kamarul Hashimy, Director of the Sports Medicine Division and Consultant Sports Physician at the National Sports Institute.
During this benchmarking visit, the delegation toured several facilities, including the Physical Therapy Room, Hydrotherapy & Whole-Body Cryotherapy Room, Biomechanics Lab, Environmental & Altitude Chamber, Jungle Gym, and Physiology Training Room.
It is hoped that this benchmarking activity will mark the beginning of future collaboration and the development of a sports science center at UMI.
