The UMI School of Medicine is once again expanding its reach by partnering with one of the government hospitals in Pare-Pare City, namely Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibi Hospital.

Established just three years ago, this hospital has garnered attention for its various facilities, steadily increasing patient visits, the wide range of cases it has successfully treated, and its status as one of the best healthcare centers due to its strategic location in the northern part of Sulawesi Province, particularly in Pare-Pare and the surrounding areas. This partnership will undoubtedly be highly beneficial for the learning process and collaboration between both parties.

Led directly by the Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. H. Nasrudin AM, Sp.OG, Subsp. Obginsos, MARS, M.Sc, FISQua, AIFO-K, together with the Third Vice Dean, the Head of the Professional Program, the Secretary of the S.Ked Program, the Chair of UP3M and Quality Assurance at the UMI Faculty of Medicine, along with lecturers, staff, and educators, conducted a visit and exchange of goodwill at the hospital, which boasts a view that soothes the soul.

Also present were the Director of Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibi Hospital, Dr. Mahyuddin Rasyid, Sp.B, M.Kes, along with the Chair of the Supervisory Board, the entire hospital staff, accompanied by medical specialists, who extended a warm welcome to the academic community of the UMI Faculty of Medicine at the hospital—named after Indonesia’s third First Lady.

Guided by the Tridharma of Higher Education—namely Education, Research, and Community Service—this visit is intended to foster strong cooperation between both parties and to develop and establish Dr. Hasri Ainun Habibi Hospital as a satellite hospital for medical education—not only for UMI Faculty of Medicine’s medical students but also for students in the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s specialist medical programs.

May the expectations of both parties be fulfilled successfully, smoothly, and as an act of worship—especially in doing good for the benefit of the community.
