Makassar, fk.umi.ac.id -- The 23rd Congress of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Medicine Student Body at the University of Muslim Indonesia (BEM KBMFK-UMI) has taken place. This event is an annual routine activity held once per leadership term to formalize the Articles of Association and Bylaws and to hand over the leadership baton to the elected BEM President. The 23rd BEM KBMFK-UMI Congress took place over two days, March 9–10, 2024, at the Arhtama Hotel in Makassar.
The opening ceremony of the BEM KBMFK-UMI Congress took place on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in the Arhtama Hotel Ballroom and was officially opened by the Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. H. Nasruddin Andi Mappaware, Sp.OG(K), MARS, M.Sc, FISQua. The event was attended by all preclinical students of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, KBMFK’s internal student organizations, and KBMFK-UMI’s external partner organizations.
The main agenda of the BEM KBMFK-UMI Congress included the adoption of the rules of procedure, the election of the presiding committee, the discussion and adoption of the Articles of Association and Bylaws, leadership development, and BEM KBMFK-UMI insignia, the accountability report of the BEM KBMFK-UMI for the 2023–2024 term, the resignation statement from the outgoing BEM KBMFK-UMI executive board for the 2023/2024 term, and the adoption and handover of the leadership baton to the BEM KBMFK-UMI executive board for the 2024/2025 term.
The 23rd Congress of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the UMI Faculty of Medicine Family was a successful and smooth event, marked by a spirit of unity and strong commitment from all participants. The outcomes of the congress are expected to bring positive changes and significant progress to the organization, as well as enhance the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s contribution to the healthcare sector.
