Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, the 8th DMP FK UMI Congress has successfully taken place. This event is an annual routine activity held once per leadership term. The 8th DMP FK UMI Congress took place over two days, May 25–26, 2024, and was held at the UMI Faculty of Medicine and the Claro Hotel in Makassar.
The opening ceremony of the 8th DMP FK UMI Congress took place on Saturday, May 25, 2024, in Classrooms 201 and 202 of the New Building at the UMI Faculty of Medicine and was officially opened by the Dean of the UMI Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. H. Nasruddin Andi Mappaware, Sp.OG(K), MARS, M.Sc, FISQua. The event was attended by all students of the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s Professional Doctor Program (MMPD), the Clinical Educational Unit (CEU), the Chair of the Professional Doctor Study Program, as well as the leadership of the UMI Faculty of Medicine and its staff.
The main agenda of the 8th UMI Faculty of Medicine Student Council (DMP) Congress included the adoption of the UMI Faculty of Medicine Student Council guidelines, the accountability report of the UMI Faculty of Medicine Student Council for the 2023–2034 term, the resignation statement of the outgoing DMP FK UMI for the 2023–2034 term, and the election and appointment of the DMP FK UMI formation committee for the 2024–2025 term.
The 8th Congress of the UMI Faculty of Medicine Student Council proceeded successfully and smoothly, marked by a spirit of unity and strong commitment from all participants. The outcomes of the congress are expected to bring positive changes and significant progress to the organization, as well as enhance the UMI Faculty of Medicine’s contribution to the healthcare sector.
