Road Shows, Large-Scale Charity Events, and Practice Tests

Large-Scale Charity Event (Medical checkups and treatment, circumcision, health education on “STUNTING” ) The UMI Faculty of Medicine, in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Medical Faculties (AFKSI), held the event at the Al-Ikhlas Islamic Boarding School in Ujung Bone and among the community of Ujung Village, Dua Boccoe Subdistrict, Bone Regency

Located in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, the Faculty of Medicine at the Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) held a Mega Community Service event along with a Roadshow and a Large-Scale Practice Test for prospective freshmen for the 2023 academic year.
The Mega Community Service events were held at different times and locations. On November 26, 2022, the event took place at the Al-Ikhlas Islamic Boarding School in Ujung Bone, Dua Boccoe Subdistrict. The large-scale social service event consisted of mass circumcisions, health checkups, and health education sessions for the Bone community and the male and female students of the boarding school.
In addition, a campus tour of the UMI Faculty of Medicine was held alongside a large-scale mock exam to engage prospective freshmen for the 2023 academic year from the Al-Ikhlas Islamic Boarding School and several high schools in Bone.
This was followed by an introduction to the UMI Faculty of Medicine, a social gathering, the large-scale practice test, and health checkups. For the health checkups, the UMI Faculty of Medicine, in collaboration with the UMI Faculty of Medicine Alumni Association, deployed more than 20 specialist doctors to serve approximately 103 patients who underwent health examinations, as well as dozens of children in the Dua Boccoe area who underwent circumcision.
In addition, health education sessions were held on skin diseases such as tinea versicolor and several other diseases with high incidence rates in Bone. This included efforts to address stunting, undertaken in partnership with the Association of Indonesian Private Medical Schools (AFKSI), which coincided with AFKSI’s “Month of Service” campaign themed “Stunting.”
